Dr. Josh Zaifman is a seasoned organic chemist with over 15 years of experience in lipid/drug design and synthesis. Dr. Zaifman has designed and synthesized various lipid components for lipid nanoparticles including lipophilic prodrugs, ionizable amino lipids, and targeting lipids. He is an inventor of three INT patents and directs all chemistry efforts in the company. 

He obtained his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University and earned his Ph.D. From Brock University in Ontario, Canada. He completed his postdoctoral training at the University of British Columbia.
